President Buhari Should Create Ibadan State - Adeaga
The president, Central Council of Ibadan indigenes, Prince Oluyemisi Adeaga has called for the creation of Ibadan state. Making this plea at his office in Ibadan, the outspoken businessman expressed displeasure with the federal government for their inability to create Ibadan state, stating that Ibadan is the only administrative region that is yet to be made a state in the country.
Prince Adeaga said this represents a state of unfairness to the people of Ibadan and Yorubaland in general, pointing out that Ibadan has all what it takes to be made a state. Ibadan is self-sustaining and has the required population.
He enjoined that president Buhari should name Ibadan a state as a New Year gift to the people and further position them for future benefits.
